In the mood… For Istanbul!
In six weeks time I will have the fortunate pleasure of traveling to and spending a few days in Istanbul. I go there with my choir, Non Silentium, to participate in a choir meet/competition, but hope to be able to see the city in the odd hour between rehearsals.
So, I started preparing myself by reading up on the city, primarily using the lonely planet guide to Istanbul (that I got for free while being stuck behind the ash cloud back in April). But a much better way, indeed, always, is asking friends that already visited. So this morning, while chugging along the Roslagsbane-track, I got some great tips from Ivar’s dad. Thanks! Got me off to a good inspiring start on this research mission.

Statsapparaten, via offentlig utredningar, myndighetdarbete och samarbeten inom policynära organisationer, som IVA, pekar på Innovationsupphandling som ett viktigt verktyg att Erica innovativitet i det egna landets näringsliv. Idag på morgonen lär jag och mina kollegor oss det mesta av det bästa av expert-kollegan Nina.
Watch this space – I will be more involved in the Vinnova efforts in this field in the near future.

We spent some time at Norrgavel lately, found an artist we liked and acquired some of his clay plates and bowls (thanks everybody!).
What, why, did we like his stuff? There was a feeling of recognition. Unexplained.. Until. We found this book on sale at the counter. The artist had required that the store re-sell it. The same book Pio gave me some ten years ago:
